2026 Wizards HBCU & D9 Night
Join the Washington Wizards for the annual HBCU and D9 Night at Capital One Arena Saturday, February 28th, 7PM against the Toronto Raptors. This game is dedicated to celebrating the legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Divine 9 organizations. Included with your ticket is a HBCU Pride and Wizards co-branded Hawaiian shirt *while supplies last*. *one size fits most.

Jags on the Potomac
Join us on Saturday, September 20, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. for the SUAF-WDC Boomerang Yacht Cruise. This two-hour cruise along the Potomac is the perfect way to close out the summer in iconic DMV fashion while kicking off our new fundraising year. Tickets are $80 per person + $2.50 handling fee, and space is limited, so don’t wait to secure your spot. Open bar and light refreshments are included. Guests are asked to dress in all blue and gold attire to set the tone for a stylish and unforgettable afternoon. We encourage guests to meet at Nick's Riverside Grill at the Georgetown Waterfront at 2:30 p.m. The boat will depart promptly at 3:00 p.m. and will not wait for late arrivals. Enjoy two decks of music, energy, and Southern spirit as we celebrate the season and set the tone for another exciting year of giving back.

Southern Summer Sizzle
The Southern University Alumni Federation - Washington, DC Chapter is gearing up for its annual Southern Summer Sizzle. This event attracts over 200 guests each year and supports the Chapter’s operations and scholarship funds. A fun, festive, and family-friendly event, Southern Summer Sizzle infuses a taste of Louisiana and Southern culture into the DMV. This event is open to anyone who wants to support our organization and have a safe and good time!

The exchange of cash in any form is not permitted on the park grounds. Thus, no tickets or other goods will be sold onsite.
A park ranger will be onsite to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Plenty of tables and seating is available under the pavilion; however, you are welcome to bring your own tents, tables, and chairs to enhance your event experience. Please note that tents cannot be anchored into the ground.

SUAF-WDC Chapter Officers Election
