Sponsorship
Thank you for exploring opportunities to support the 2024-2025 Southern University Alumni Federation – Washington, DC Chapter through sponsorship. We are a 501c3 organization, and your monetary contribution is tax-deductible.
Our membership has continued to grow through the years, now with over 150 members each fiscal year.
At our core, we exist to make college more attractive, attainable, accessible, and affordable through introducing students to the college experience, recruiting talent, raising funds to award merit and needs-based scholarships, providing mentorship to support retention goals, and support students’ growth and professional development. Last year, we were able to award over $10,000 in scholarships to students from the DMV pursuing academic studies at Southern University and A&M College.
We are also committed to supporting university initiatives and clubs and organizations, auxiliary units, and athletics to ensure they are properly resourced for success.
Our success as a chapter is largely attributed to the contributions of our members and our generous sponsors who align with our mission, interests, and vision.
Your sponsorship will continue to contribute to the success of our signature programs and events, such as our annual Mardi Gras Event and Southern Summer Sizzle (Crawfish Boil Cookout), and support the chapter’s goals and, more specifically, the chapter’s operation and scholarship funds.
We are nearing the midpoint of the FY26 edition of The Captain’s Initiative. Chapter members have received a charge from the Chapter President to serve as fundraising captains to support our goal of raising $25,000. Your sponsorship will assist us in meeting that goal, while fulfilling our shared purpose and providing your brand visibility from our chapter members, affiliates, and supporters.
We invite you to explore our SUAF-WDC Chapter website to get to know us better and check out our sponsorship tiers below. Please note that the sponsorship tiers presented below are based on our inaugural Mardi Gras Cocktail Soiree event that is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026. As such, the deadline to become a Blue or Gold sponsor and receive the associated sponsorship benefits, including VIP tickets with reserved seats and name/logo placement on signage, is Sunday, February 1, 2026. We will gladly accept other sponsorship types or modifications through event day.
We are happy to discuss other benefits and opportunities for sponsorship beyond the Mardi Gras Cocktail Soiree event.
We welcome the opportunity to speak with you further about our chapter and goals and sponsorship benefits. Contact Mr. Anthony Baise, SUAF-WDC First Vice President, or Dr. Ivory Berry, President, for additional assistance and inquiries.
