Southern Summer Sizzle is the SUAF Washington DC Chapter’s signature summer fundraiser and fiscal year celebration. The event serves as both a year end gathering for alumni and supporters and an important opportunity to raise scholarship funds for students attending Southern University.

In 2025, Southern Summer Sizzle welcomed over 300 guests, bringing together alumni, young professionals, community leaders, and local residents for an afternoon of great food, music, and fellowship.
